For those of you who don't know David, we're talking about David Frohme, stock clerk extrordinaire and all-around handy-guy at the new Safeway store in Payson. He's the happy-faced one on the left. The other guy you might recognize as the Sun's Gorilla... out of character and costume, of course. (No kidding!) |
David was recently involved in a traffic accident. Some uninsured guy, alledgedly intoxicated, pulled one of those quick lefts in front of an oncoming David. All persons survived. David's car wasn't so lucky... he didn't have Uninsured Motorist coverage. Oh, that's David, on the left again, making friends at the Christian Book Store. |
Like most other folks, David relied on his car to get back and forth to work, to visit his loving Mom down in Florence, and to periodically visit the source of his never ending fascination... a train. Any train. David loves the railrod. David is also an accomplished long jumper in the Special Olympics. Here's David, just seconds after liftoff from Sun Devil Stadium. |

A very kind and loving individual has set up an account in David's name over at Norwest Bank, 613 S. Beeline at Frontier, in Payson. The intent is to raise enough funds to buy David a new(er) car. The donations are already coming in. Just yesterday, David deposited $150... the entire amount he received from his insurance company. By the way, that's a shot of the Gold Medal Winner there... David's Motto: "Don't just try... do it! So, go do it.
