Pumpkin carving has been taken to a new level by a company called "Pumpkin Masters". Their kits include patterns for carving designs other than just eyes, nose, and mouth.
The kit also contains all the tools you will need to do very creative carving.
You can even design your own by simply drawing it on a sheet of paper, then transferring the pattern to the pumpkin. You can find these kits at most craft stores, Walmart, Walgreens, etc.

Pictured are two of my own designs, and one of Pumpkin Masters. Can you guess which is which? The kids will love this, but an adult should do the actual carving, as the tools can be a little too sharp for small fry.
